The time for holiday shopping is nearly over, with Christmas and Chanukah are both right around the corner.

For those still shopping and looking to stay local and support small businesses here in Culver City, here are three gift ideas to consider this holiday season.

A Unique, Giftwrapped Trinket from Lundeen's

For over 15 years, Lundeen's has filled a unique niche in Culver City from its location at 9726 Washington Blvd.

Their collection of trinkets and gifts is among the most unique in Culver City, an offering that has helped them remain a mainstay in the City's Downtown Corridor since 2008.

Owner Kathryn Lundeen and her employees take their role as a unique gift shop very seriously, especially during the holidays. The store has operated on special hours all December, opening on Mondays when it traditionally remains closed.

While they are closed on Christmas Day and the day after, Lundeen's is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Christmas Eve when they will be open until 5 p.m.

The store offers free gift-wrapping for three gifts, and a station for that purpose has been set up just in front of Lundeen's. The shop also sells cards, so you can make the Culver City gift shop your one-stop for holiday shopping.

A Massage Gift Certificate from Massage Garage

Tucked in one of the alleys branching from the Downtown Corridor, The Massage Garage has been offering massages and facial treatments from its 3812 Main Street location in Culver City since 2003. It has a special set of offerings for those interested in giving the gift of wellness treatments this holiday season.

The gift certificates for 60- and 90-minute massages — which are anywhere from $70-$90 for 60 minutes and $105 to $130 for 90 minutes — are $10 off for holiday shoppers. According to Massage Garage's website, seniors can also get $5 off of every 60-minute treatment.

They also sell products containing CBD — short for the non-psychoactive molecule Cannabidiol found in marijuana and hemp that was legalized with the 2018 Farm Bill — as well as candles to further help with customer's mental well-being.

A 21+ Treat from Stanley's Wet Goods

Stanley's Wet Goods has been selling wine and other alcohol adjacent to Downtown Culver City at 9620 Venice Boulevard since 2017.

They have brought back their holiday gift baskets for the fourth time this year, packed with preselected drink combinations to serve as a sampler or use for your holiday cocktails.

These pre-arranged boxes range from $45 for a bourbon mini sampler to $130 for a box of arranged champagne, and the drinks offered include Manhattan, Dirty Martini, and Espresso Martini.

Small bottles of alcohol are also being sold by Stanley's as stocking stuffers, with a similar range of selections to those offered in the holiday gift boxes.

For those looking to buy a more traditional single bottle for their gift or gathering, owner John Stanley recommends Francis Boulard Champagne, of which Stanley's Wet Goods carries two varieties.

"One is very rich and luxurious, very opulent," Stanley told Culver Crescent. "The other one is more racy and mineral-driven, but they are both incredible wines."
